Why does it cost more per item to ship 2 than it does to ship1? to Canada it is just over $8 for 2, and $3.05 for one roll.

SonyaIt's confusing, but it's the way shipping discounts work. A very rough description: US Shipping is around $7 to ship 1 roll, and $9 to ship 2 rolls. And for this drop, we made "shipping in the USA free." In essence, a US customer ordering 1 roll is getting a $7 discount, and if they're ordering 2 rolls, they're getting a $9 discount. (Discount is "free shipping").
Unlike other companies, we want to pass on that "discount" to international members as well.
International shipping prices scale very differently than domestic shipping prices. Our quote from DHL is something along the lines of $10 to ship 1 roll to Canada, $17 to ship 2 rolls to Canada, etc.
When you take the $10 shipping and subtract the US $7 discount, you get $3. When you take the $17 shipping and subtract the US $9 discount, you get $8.
So shipping 2 will cost more than shipping 1. (Those numbers aren't the real numbers, they're just examples.)
You can 'work around' this by ordering 1 roll twice from us in two separate transactions.
We're working on implementing different shipping/discount systems that are more robust to apply US discounts to International orders in more "logical" ways.
