Guess I don't understand the point of these. For athletic wear, tieing snug the normal way makes the shoe "smaller," i.e., I can't get in without loosening the top laces. So what good would these anchors do, since I'd still have to tighten, which these anchors prevent? Please clarify. thanks,
highstreamLace Anchors help assist in removing the bow from the shoes. Some people prefer the look of the shoe without the bow so they stuff the laces inside or tie the bow behind the tongue of the shoe which is uncomfortable and usually not a consistent fit, loosen easily etc. A fairly large amount of people tie a knot and just slip their shoes on and off without untying each time they put their shoes on, that is who this was originally created for. Lace Anchors also help assist in creating custom lace patterns. They allow you to start lacing and finish lacing in any of the eyelets without having to connect the ends together(see the pictures below). The funny thing is I use to wear my running shoes so tight that I could not slip them on without untying them first. I constantly had sore feet and tons of pressure on each side of my arch, low and behold I began to use the Lace Anchors in my running shoes and they are 1000 times more comfortable and no more sore feet. I started to do some research and found that wearing your shoes to tight was one of the top 5 causes of tendonitis! Now at the same time, wearing your shoes too lose can cause you to twist your ankle. It's up to you to find the sweet spot and the sweet spot for me is when I can just barely slip my shoes on without untying them. I have hundreds and hundreds of running miles logged in my running shoes while using Lace Anchors. If you watch the Magic video below the main video on here, you may be surprised that you can actually wear your shoes a little tighter and still have a slip-on style shoe with Lace Anchors as oppose to tying bows! If this isn't for you then it isn't for you, we understand. Hopefully this helps to clarify things. Have a great day!

LaceAnchorsThanks for the clarification. Note that I used the word snug, not tight. I don't know about injuries, but too tight can strangle the foot, so to speak, and is uncomfortable. All the shots of your product that I saw here are not snug but a little loose, just as you describe for people who want to slip in and out. Your videos don't help clarify the issue.
highstreamSorry didn't have time to make a video last night, I will try to get to it today.
