Construction

The Lake People HPA RS 08 is equipped with a toroidal transformer, high-quality op-amps and MKP capacitors in the signal path, large filtering capacitors in the power supply, and metal film resistors throughout the unit. The front panel features a balanced headphone out with a four-pin XLR connector and two unbalanced headphone outs with quarter-inch connectors, while the back panel is home to two unbalanced inputs and two unbalanced line outputs, all with gold-plated RCA connectors. The line outputs are internally switchable to three modes: passive feedthrough, active feedthrough with volume control (pre-fader), and active feedthrough with volume control (post-fader).
