Sigh, I hate to be the bearer of further bad news folks, but it looks like the vendor shipped these to the American Heartland (Iowa) instead of to our warehouse in New Jersey.
I have written them an email outlining the following actions I need them to take:
1. Process another shipment
2. Send shipment via an expedited method (minimum 2 day UPS Ground)
3. Requested for them to throw in something for the community for being so patient throughout the process
I anticipate hearing back from them tomorrow and will be able to provide the group more information then.
In the meantime we will be doing everything we can so that the group gets their orders as soon as they can regardless of the events that have come up.
We understand this delay is rather undesirable. If you prefer not to wait for the pens and want to have your order cancelled, just email us at support@massdrop.com, and we will process the refund right away.

Thanks for your patience on these and expect an update from us on 11/24 or sooner if something comes up. We will work tirelessly to get this issued resolved for the group.

HassanSHello! Wouldn't it be faster and easier to have the package delivery Co. expedite a transfer from Iowa to New Jersey? Odd that it went to Iowa but if you know that then they know that and a pick-up today, Friday, in Iowa, and a Monday delivery to your New Jersey warehouse seems most reasonable and in the best interest of your customers. Processing a new shipment at this busy time of year, as you have indicated in your update, will take a lot more time. What are your thoughts, please? Thank You.

HassanSSo did some random Iowan just receive like $40,000 in fountain pens? Was there another shipment from Lamy to Iowa and the drop just got added in by mistake? This is kind of insane.

HassanSAlthough I don't mind continuing to wait because this pen was cheap, hearing that $40,000 pen shipments can be sent to the wrong state and that, apparently, $40k shipments don't get any tracking is an interesting insight into your world. If they had tracking someone would have noticed they were headed to the wrong place, right?

HassanSThank you, again, for this clear, honest and comprehensive reply. Thank you, also, for providing the option to "opt out" for those of us that feel the wait is simply too long. I plan on sticking with the drop and my attitude toward Massdrop is greatly improved by both this communication and the "opt out" offer.
