I thought I'd pass along reports of tracking scans in general being less frequent than usual from USPS during this year's holiday delivery season. This would explain why my package had 2 updates: 1) Left Jersey, 2) Package delivered. Usually USPS updates with more intermediate scans. Excessive holiday traffic would explain fewer scans and updates.
My understanding, however, is that fewer scans should not equal (significantly) slower delivery.
Also, not receiving ANY info (including "item in route to destination") seems a bit odd.
