Designed by Gerd A. Müller, one of the founders of the legendary Bauhaus school of design, the LAMY 2000 fountain pen is a masterpiece of modern minimalism. While the original Makrolon polycarbonate body quickly won favor in the pen community, LAMY managed to improve upon the storied design by swapping out plastic for stainless steel.
Note: At checkout, you'll have your choice of nib size: extra-fine, fine, medium, or broad.
Outfitted with a nib worthy of such a device, the LAMY 2000 includes a platinum-coated, 14-karat gold nib that provides enough spring to stay writing for hours without a worry. To ensure that you maintain solid grip and give a slight accent, the front section is made entirely of stainless steel, as is the spring-loaded pocket clip. The pen is filled simply by dipping the nib into a bottle of ink and tightening the piston knob at the end, gently harnessing gravity to get the job done. World-renowned for its good looks and great function, the LAMY 2000 carries enough weight with writers to be one of Neil Gaiman's go-to tools.
