I own this pen. It does take safari nibs. Mine is outfitted with a 1.5mm stub and it works awesome. The feed has no issues keeping up with the demand for ink. The thin profile and sleek appearance appeals more to me than a safari, but tastes differ. It is a solid working-class pen.
