I saw a few people post about the duration of the ink on the pen. I bought this pen about 1.5 years ago from amazon. I will say that the ink that comes with it seemed to go very fast, but after purchasing some replacement cartridges it seems to last a much more reasonable time. I haven't done any benchmarking to say one cartridge lasts x months, but I remember the first one or two seeming really short, and haven't had any issues since then. Overall I really love the pen. Also, if you let someone else use it, make sure they know how to use a fountain pen. Someone almost broke the nib when they borrowed it to write.
