Got mine, pretty happy with both of the products. The ink flow on the Safari is dry enough to not feather on the average textbook paper, which is nice since I can't get any of those fancy Rhodia or Clairefontaine ones where I live. The ABS plastic though is easily the only con for me, since it makes the pen very light, too light to feel comfortable/quality. The thing is almost as light as a pencil. Also the ridges of where the parts are connected are very sharp, especially on the cap, that digs into the hand when posted. Do any of you have this problem (charcoal finish)? I guess it can be sanded with an extra fine sand paper, although I'm somewhat hesitant to do that, as it might impair the otherwise awesome design, which is one of the main reasons I got into this drop in the first place. In regards to the pencil - it has the same problems with the material and build quality, there are ridges alongside the body of the pencil, where the 2 parts connect. and the fact that the eraser cap isn't fixed is a bit annoying as well. It pairs nicely with the pen, But I doubt I would have gotten it by itself. But as previously noted, the overall experience is positive, taking price into account. Also finding a fountain pen that fits you is satisfactory in and of itself, especially when you're a lefty. Thanks to MD and Lamy, Cheers.
