I own the Lamy Studio in the Wild Rubin (an anniversary gift). It has a fine (steel and not gold nib) and I have it inked with Diamine Syrah as I got the converter as cartridges are more expensive and there are soooo many beautiful inks out there to try (almost a perfect match for the barrel) and it writes as smooth as silk. I find the shiny grip to be comfortably and not slick to hold. If I had not gotten mine as a gift, I would be looking at this and drooling.
