An excellent pen
I've had this Lamy Studio in ExFine for 6 months or so and I still use it all the time. I just love it. It writes beautifully and suits my preferences for line and feedback perfectly. In fact, I prefer it to my Lamy 2000 because the 2000 is a Fine and just a bit too bold for my tastes. This Studio an excellent pen, and I'm very happy that I grabbed one.

My new LX all-black has the same "barely-there" cap click you described. It's concerning me. Since other Studios have shiny sections, maybe Lamy did not factor in the thickness of the powder coating on this model's section.

lbdesignWhat I did as a temporary fix was unscrew the two sections of the body and then just make them snug tight. That made the pen a hair longer. Since the cap attaches at the ring just above the nib, the additional fraction of a millimeter provides for a bit more distance for the cap to snap on. On another note, this pen is a dream to write with. I really like it!

You sir, are a genius! That works for me. I will try some teflon tape on the barrel threads to maintain the snug but not tightly screwed-down condition. Thank you! Love the pen body otherwise. Still annoyed with Lamy for being unable to provide EF nibs. But these nibs do seem of a higher quality than their Safari line.
