Does anyone know if I can convert this pen so that it has three pens, instead of a mechanical pencil? I do not have much use for a mechanical pencil. I like multi-function pens such as the Pilot Hi-Tec-C Coleto with 5 different cartridges. I color code my writing in my notepads. A multi-function pen with Lamy quality is intriguing. I am already wondering if there are any pen hacks for it. I didn't find any pen hacks with a quick Google search, but perhaps this pen is not common enough.

sallenFrom a comment above, these use standard multipen refills, the thin barreled ones. Here is the link that tea3agger provided: http://www.jetpens.com/Zebra-Pen-Refills/ct/396
From my experience with designs that appear to be similar, you should be able to replace them to your heart's content.

MaitaThank you Maita, I looked at the link that tea3agger provided. I am very familiar with the Zebra pen refills as I use them in my Hi-Tec-C Coleto pens. Should be able to replace the refills as I wish is not quite the answer I was hoping for. I would like a definitive whether I can or cannot remove the mechanical pencil and replace with another pen refill. Perhaps that is too much to ask, but not sure that I want to risk $50 on a multi pen, even one of Lamy quality, when my Coleto Cs work just fine and I know that I can change refills as my heat desires.

sallenWish I could give you one, as I understand exactly your position, and actually would like the answer somewhat myself for the same reasons. I have found a link to the refills here: http://www.lamy.com/content/products/accessories/refills_and_inks/index_eng.html
Sorry I can't link you to the pencil only, it's at the bottom. Obviously without hard numbers it's hard to tell, but going off of just about every similar system, it seems to me that we can reliably assume that it slots into the same type of hole internally. I have what is essentially a Zebra parallel to this that uses those same ink refills, and the pencil mechanism looks identical to the one I'm seeing from Lamy that they state is compatible with this pen. I hope this is good enough for you to make a decision; if not, perhaps you could try responding to someone who got it in a previous drop to ask and see if they'll notice and respond? That seems the best bet for a definitive answer to me.
