I have just received my Lanier E420 Marbled Fountain Pen with the optional Schmidt converter. The converter shipped with the pen does not actually fit the pen. It appears to be too long and/or too thick or is being caught on something inside the barrel. With the converter installed, the barrel of the pen can not be reinstalled.
I have tried another converter I had which is shorter than the Schmidt and it has a similar issue. It appears to be blocked by a black object inserted in the barrel.
So at this point in time I have a non-functional pen. Anyone else having a similar issue?

AushikerMine came with a pre filled cartidge inside the pen. Maybe check that yours it's stuck in inside it?
Great set of pens. These will replace all the junk pens I have a home. Fit my red and black office theme too. :)

craingerThat turned out to the be problem. When I didn't see the cartridge initially I had assumed it was simply not provided given I had ordered a converter. Failed to put two and two together.

Aushiker How did you get it out? I cannot seem to extract it from the barrel at all.

JohnK3Tapped it on the desk. It worked loose and dropped out. Good luck! :)

AushikerThanks! Had to really hit it fairly hard on a rubber mouse pad to eventually work it out of the barrel. It was stuck in there really well.
