Made in the United States, Lanona’s Porter boots—measuring 6.5 inches tall—are built for both utility and style. And while they’re normally offered only in black with a Raptor wedge outsole, we’ve collaborated with Lanona to produce the boots in tan with leather and CTX outsoles, as well as the option for a cap toe. The waxed leather uppers hail from the famous SB Foot Tanning Co. in Red Wing, Minnesota—one of the oldest tanneries in the country. A combination lugged and leather outsole, the CTX option offers added traction for those who need it. To ensure their durability over time, the boots feature a Goodyear welt, considered the best method of shoe construction outside of handwelting.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of black or tan uppers, plain toe or cap toe, and leather, Raptor wedge, or CTX outsole. The CTX outsole will have a $30 surcharge. Please see below for sizing information.
What began as one man’s determination to create his own pair of custom shoes is now an established footwear company operating out of St. Paul, Minnesota. Founded by Ben Ransom, Lanona strives to produce designs that inspire a lifestyle of adventure and discovery. And by sourcing materials from American companies like SB Foot, Lanona is part of a burgeoning movement honoring the country’s heritage of craftsmanship.
Because the Lanona Porter generally fits half a size large, consider sizing down half a size from your Brannock measurement if you have a standard foot width. From Lanona: "Our Summit last has a fuller rounded toe for more comfortable everyday use, and accommodates the option of a thicker wool sock for those crisp Minnesota winter days. The footwear that uses our Summit last will tend to have less stretching compared to the 800 (Tavern) and Mastercraft (Academic) last, due to a thicker liner and reinforced toe and heel area. If your width measurement is a medium foot width, consider ordering a half size below your measured foot length size. If your width measurement is in the wide-to-extra-wide area, consider ordering your measured size."
