Made in the United States, Lanona’s Porter boots—measuring 6.5 inches tall—are built for both utility and style. And while they’re normally offered only in black with a Raptor wedge outsole, we’ve collaborated with Lanona to produce the boots in tan with leather and CTX outsoles, as well as the option for a cap toe Read More
Got my pair. Pretty roomy even sizing half down. Edit: actually getting home today from work and lacing both shoes on, boot is far too roomy. With both shoes on now there's some slight wiggle all throughout. Unwearable. Shoe size 11 and I sized down to 10.5, needs a full size down. Bit disappointing cause I waited so long. They are such nice quality too it kills me. Best pair of shoes I've seen, actually. ;-)

I know I'm cutting it close with my style and fit questions, but would appreciate any advice:
Style: Anyone think the Tan, Cap Toe, CTX would look weird? I want the slimmed profile and durability and traction of CTX but would black on the bottom mismatch? (Also would rarer combination be harder to exchange if fit is wrong)
Size: I may be posing an impossible question, but here goes. looked at most of my shoes and saw a scattering of 9-10 (also think I have an 8.5 I'm Clarks desert boot that I got snug knowing it'd stretch). Also shoes with EU said 43, 43.5, or 44..
But I went and measured my feet one a device in a clarks store TODAY, and it looked like one foot was 9.25 and the other was 8.75 (only used heel-toe length and not heel-ball). Is it possible my feet were that much smaller because of the cold? It was 30s or low 40s.
Anyone have any advice?
I wouldn't buy from Lanona again. They ignored my query about my shoe's fit, I had to replace the insoles and put in heel stops just to get them to fit my feet and they are still slightly off.
I just conditioned and polished them with Saphir products. Honestly I might just let them wear out so that they get destroyed in 2-3 years and I can just forget about them.
I love my lanona boots, but I got both the hundreds show oil and grease, and I wanted to know the different effects of each product.

One more quick question. What would you say is difference between Hubbard's Oil and Grease (both are sold on Lanona site)? Specifically in regards to tan boot, but also in general.
I really like how these boots look from online, but am a bit picky about fit and sturdiness. Will I still be able to return them to Lanona if I don't like them?
BobbitsWe will accommodate free return/exchanges for domestic US customers. Since some styles on this feature are made-to-order, depending on the size/style you order, lead times on a new size may be an additional 4 weeks once an exchange is requested. International returns/exchanges will be coordinated per individual customers.
Agreed it's difficult to purchase footwear online without trying them on. As noted with my reply to @Bobbits we will accomodate free return/exchanges for domestic US customers. I think a size 11 in our Porter Boots will provide a similar fit to your 11W Timberlands. If you have any other brands/sizes that currently fit well, I'm available to provide additional sizing feedback as needed.
What's the version the model wears on the pictures? It seems to have a red sole from the side, but on all other stock pictures the sole is pure white. Is there an option for the red one too? I like that better :)
Bert42Thanks @TomasV for the assistance. Contrary to Tomas' comment, the photos you are referring to acutally have the CTX outsole on them, but will have a similar profile as the leather outsoles. And the red sole is just the natural leather edge on the outsole that has been buffed with a neutral wax. The bottom leather area of the CTX outsole is lighter than the edges since it's not buffed during the finishing process. So both the leather and CTX outsole do have a brown/reddish finish to them.
Question on sizing: I measure 12.5 and have an old pair of Alden boots in 12.5 that fit perfectly, but I wear size 13D in everything else including Danner Fort Lewis boots (12.5 is hard to find and 12 is too small). What would be my best option a 12.5 or 13 ? Thanks
richago1Responded to your email request, but will make note here for others to read - This comparison is tough to confirm, but I’m leaning towards recommending a 12.5 and think it will supply a really good fit compared to your Aldens. We do have a customer who wears a size 8D Alden Barrie boots and has a size 8 Porter Boot that fits well. I know sizes vary a bit as they get bigger, so not sure we can draw a direct comparison, but I think it’s a good indication the 12.5 Porter Boot will provide a good fit.
Just want to get @bransom's opinion here... I'm in for a size 14, but am reconsidering if maybe I need a 13 instead. I used your measuring device and measured about a 12.5-13. Every shoe I've worn in the past few years have been size 14 (Nike, Skechers, Sperry). Specifically, I have a pair of Skechers 4442 boots that are size 14 that fit well. Also, I plan to wear thick wool socks. I almost went for a size 13.5, but since it wasn't available opted for 14. Does this seem right?
cpl1I would actually recommend going with the size 13. Based on your measurement and sizing for current brands/styles you have, I think the 13 will be the one to order.
I wear a size 11, and size 11 in Nike for example...
Foot is 10.5 inches long or so and about 3 and 7/8 inch thick at widest.
Should I get a 10.5 then or just 11? I'm interested.
