I know I'm cutting it close with my style and fit questions, but would appreciate any advice: Style: Anyone think the Tan, Cap Toe, CTX would look weird? I want the slimmed profile and durability and traction of CTX but would black on the bottom mismatch? (Also would rarer combination be harder to exchange if fit is wrong)
Size: I may be posing an impossible question, but here goes. looked at most of my shoes and saw a scattering of 9-10 (also think I have an 8.5 I'm Clarks desert boot that I got snug knowing it'd stretch). Also shoes with EU said 43, 43.5, or 44..
But I went and measured my feet one a device in a clarks store TODAY, and it looked like one foot was 9.25 and the other was 8.75 (only used heel-toe length and not heel-ball). Is it possible my feet were that much smaller because of the cold? It was 30s or low 40s.
Anyone have any advice?

gaberichI'm actually really curious as to how Tan looks with ctx. If it looks better than I think I'd probably switch to that from black. Or if they could find some brown ctx.

gaberichThe Tan Cap Toe CTX is a good combo. We have a sample at the shop and they look really nice. Unfortunately I don't have a photo to upload before this feature ends, so you'll have to take our word for it. I've not heard of significant change in sizing based on cold weather, but based on your comparison, I'd say a size 8.5 with our Porter Boots is a safe bet.

bransomI actually changed from Black to Tan CTX a couple of hours before the drop ended last night. Tan is the new Black, and I can't wait to polish them up and take them out for a stroll. I will upload my thoughts on the shoe as well, looking forward to it. Cheers.

bransomGot my pair and love them. Is there advice for care and pre-treating the boots to make the handle weather and last longer? What do you recommend before using?
Thanks.

gaberichGood question. I'll outline care for both leather options -
Black Leather - no treatment is necessary before wearing these out-and-about. But, when they are in need of some care you’ll want a damp cloth, a good brush, and some cream/conditioner from a local cobbler shop. Clean the boots with the damp cloth, allow to dry, brush off excess dirt and dust, apply cream/conditioner and let set for 15 minutes, brush boots again, then buff lightly with a soft cloth. An added note, if you want the leather to stay fully black, you’ll want to buy a black shoe cream, since there will be some brown leather exposed as the boots are worn and scuffed over time.
Tan Leather - If you're interested to preserve the color of the boots, we would recommend using a breathable waterproof spray and apply a couple times over a 24hour period per the instructions of the type of spray you purchase. If you're interested in a more rugged look for the tan leather, using a boot oil, like Huberds will assist with preserving the leather and giving the tan leather a rich and darker color. We would recommend applying at least a couple applications of oil, letting each application dry before adding another one. Both scenarios outline above would still require the standard cleaning of the boots with a damp cloth, allowing to dry, brushing off excess dirt and dust then utilizing the waterproof spray or oil.

bransomOne more quick question. What would you say is difference between Hubbard's Oil and Grease (both are sold on Lanona site)? Specifically in regards to tan boot, but also in general.

gaberichI wouldn't buy from Lanona again. They ignored my query about my shoe's fit, I had to replace the insoles and put in heel stops just to get them to fit my feet and they are still slightly off. I just conditioned and polished them with Saphir products. Honestly I might just let them wear out so that they get destroyed in 2-3 years and I can just forget about them.

bransomI love my lanona boots, but I got both the hundreds show oil and grease, and I wanted to know the different effects of each product.
