I have the Sharp Maker, the Lansky 4 rod ceramic turnbox. and the larger Lansky Polymer. Each has it's advantages, but the 4-rod turnbox is hard to beat. Diamond rods are too "aggressive" when it comes up to "tuning up" the edge on a blade. A person shouldn't have to do much else but use the super-fine for regular use, and the 600 grit medium rods to reset an edge. They ALL work to put a scary-sharp edge on, only variable is time with different steels.
