I would jump on a full frame version if it became available.

KetilThis is a full frame lens, the only APS-C specific feature is shift at more than 3mm, otherwise you'll get full coverage of your sensor. I happily use it on my A7r2.

Great price point if you want an APS-C fisheye, particularly with the shift feature (but that color smearing - ugh) - but speaking from experience, if you're after a macro lens think long and hard about what you intend to shoot. Inanimate objects aren't so bad - but there's not much fauna "in nature" that will allow you to press the lens against it to get a snapshot.
Nikon owners - for a couple hundred more you can land one of the awesome 200mm Micro Nikkors. Again just my opinion - but a far more "usable" macro if nature photog is your bag.

DonVIt's not a fisheye (though I believe that I've heard it suffers from distortion). The fauna that you would be trying to photograph with this in their environment can't get away because they're creatures like frogs and insects.

I'm wondering, why would anyone want 15mm macro lens? I have the 40mm f/2.8 Nikkor macro lens, and even with that thing I am really close to touching the subject when I want the biggest closeup possible, how is this ever practical for use? I guess I get that you can have both macro lens and daily-use lens, but if you'd be investing $500 on a lens, that shouldn't really be a problem and you should get 2 cheaper lenses, one for macro, one for daily usage.

uTukan1It's a specialist lens - its for if you want to get a photo of a tiny subject, but also want to include its environment. You can accomplish this by taking multiple photos with a macro lens and stitching them together, but the 15mm allows you to get the effect in a single image. Additionally, it's tilt-shift function is a a feature normally seen in lenses many times the price of the Laowa. Their anti-moisture coating is a big bonus too. I can't afford to put 4-5 hundred dollars into a specialty lens at the moment, but if I could the Laowa 15mm would be a definite candidate!

NacMacFeegleYou're right, after I posted this comment I checked some images, and to my surprise it actually makes beautiful pictures! I was imagining just some distorted mess with the photographer breaking their lens because they smashed it into the object haha.
