How would this compare to the Blue Snowball?

duck57Much more flat, so better if you're doing vocals for music or various instruments. The snowball is a bit muddy, which while it might be great for podcasters it 'sucks' for recording natural vocals.
Don't get me wrong you can still use either analog or digital equipment to tweak the sound so you get the radio-like voice if you're into that stuff...
Normally I'd prefer a flat microphone every-day especially if I can tweak the signal analogously* (so no digital artifacts), giving you much wider and higher quality voice to play with.
*I think that's how you spell it
Conclusion:
In my opinion better, but depending on your use as well as your opinion on tweaking your voice the snowball might be better for you personally.

HeroicfieldFor mics in this price range (before the drop price), are there other solid competitors or better options?

duck57The CAD Audio U37 is a great microphone and I would highly recommend it.
