When this timer is placed on a refrigerator, it only touches the refrigerator in its top half (which contains the magnets), but not in its bottom half. Unfortunately, that's the half that contains the buttons. As a result, whenever I press a button the timer shifts "in". This makes pressing buttons awkward and unpleasant. So I threw the timer in the bag of kitchen equipment that I never use, and returned my previous (cheap, Chinese-made) timer to the refrigerator.

OrenHSaw on an Amazon review that someone glued something on the back bottom to prevent that problem. Might be worth a shot.
