A 50 year old italian swiss watchmaker known for his inovative movements by whom 50 people he gave free watches to on a gondola tour? Cause I never heard of him or his swiss Chinese watches
Not on the list of Swiss watchmakers, not on a long list on wikipedia of Italian watchmakers, and the poor English on their website, and the copyright date of 2019, come on Drop we deserve better than this. Do your due diligence. Give the 12 people who bought into this their money back
I think Drop should be screening these a little better, we deserve better as a loyal community, than to have questionable products hawked at us like this
I don’t know about this one fellas $2100 $840 $319 i say if you like this nonsense watch wait for the price to hit $49 that’s about all I think it’s worth
No shortage of the same watches being offered on Chrono24 and eBay for $840 and evidently all by the same seller.
Meaning, one assumes, there must be at least one human being walking around on the planet with one of them, and who actually paid the $840 ask.
Proving once again, the world can be a very cruel place to live (or shop for watches).
RayFThanks for researching. All the same seller, that's the most interesting part about that. Put up a bunch of listings to legitimize the Drop? I dunno but this one stinks to me
I see everyone looking up Unitas 6498 up on ebay to get an estimate on the price. Here is some context: You can get Chinese made 6498's for 30 bux with geneva stripes on the back plate, but the finish isn't as "fine" as the one shown here (you can buy an undecorated movement and add stripes yourself as well, obviously). Whereas you can also get a "SWISS-MADE" 6498 for about ~300 USD with geneva stripes on the back. For reference there is an american company Weiss watches which used to sell "american made" watches with swiss made 6498's for 800 USD a couple of years ago(think they have switched to an actual in-house cal. since), If the gentleman above is following the Weiss route and is using an actual swiss made 6498's then the price is pretty competitive, but the person needs to provide more info on the movement used, if not It gives more ground to question the legitimacy of this product.
