The main component is the Leonardo R3 microcontroller board, which is based on ATmega32u4. It features 20 digital input/output pins, seven of which can be used as PWM outputs and 12 of which can be used for analog inputs. Simply connect it to a computer with the USB cable to power it up. In addition to the Leonardo R3, the kit comes with a ProtoShield, an LCD screen, and a variety of sensors, buzzers, LEDs, and other plug ins to start experimenting with.
