Oops! Found the cartridge. It was in the pen barrel. Not inserted into nib (as it of course shouldn't have been) but loose. Problem solved. Now have to prime pen with water using converter as suggested and then I'll try it out. (Have the rollerball from years ago and enjoy it.)
