A lot of older tech/1080p monitors don't really use display port.

The only part I really read was the 29" IPS part, and thought this was a 2560x1080 monitor, not a full on 1080p. Either ways with IPS panel this monitor isn't that old, just cheap since they gutted the input to just one HDMI to bring the cost down.

Just to clarify when I say "Old", I don't really mean actual old but old as in the tech old term which means it fairly is not but that tech is constantly replacing one another within 6 months - 1 year(sometimes slightly more). Although, IPS panels have been quite around for some time now, they keeping making "creative" ways to bring down the costs.
