The big question for me is: Can I use this at 60hz over DP or lightning bolt?

CorditeYes, both. I have this monitor, and it is nothing short of amazing! It has a Mini DP and Standard DP as well as a USB 3.0 hub built in. I run at 60hz over DP on my PC, and 60hz via thunderbolt on my MBP.
