jake93sFYI the cheapest possible shipping (USPS) for an oversized 25 lb. package to Australia is $150, excluding insurance and special handling (which I assume one would want on a $1200 monitor). The cheapest UPS service is somewhere in the $350-400 range.
$250 does seem like on the steep side, but it's not outrageously unreasonable as far as international shipping goes, even assuming that Massdrop has a significant volume discount on international shipping. In general, it's not cost-effective to ship a single large item halfway around the world (as opposed to shipping a whole boatload over to an Australian distributor, as is the case for a more traditional business model).

jake93sThere must be millions of websites that I don't buy anything from. I cannot imagine spending my time going to those websites one by one and telling them that I won't buy anything from them.
But hey, if that's what you like to do, go right ahead.
