I've been waiting with baited breath for this to happen ever since discovering the hard-to-find-and-extremely-in-demand 34UM95 several days ago. I knew by following the Massdrop ultrawide monitors discussion that this would probably not have a best-case-scenario price of $800 as originally expected...and I'm even fine with that. What concerns me is that there is no way for potential buyers to know if these monitors are plagued with the same issues that have been affecting many of the 34UM95 units...namely pronounced backlight bleed and DisplayPort 1.2 issues (flickering, black screens, signaling issues when waking from sleep, video corruption, popping noises, etc.). Will hinted that the late ship date might mean that LG is working to fix some of these issues, and I've heard that a firmware update is in the works. The problem is, unless you guys at MD can get some confirmation on any of this, none of us will know if there is truth to any of this until well after the drop ends. If you are aware that these monitors have any improvements whatsoever from the first few batches of the 34UM95 that people have been buying from other sites, PLEASE share that information.
