wkuoYou're getting it from San Fran, CA. Not From Canada. Going to Canada. OMG HA! Sorry, but yes Massdrop is in San Fran, so does Canada charge an import tax coming from US?
100 people is nothing. I bet we'll hit 200. A lot of people were waiting on this drop, most just probably don't know it's live yet. Watch where it's at after the weekend ;)

SupermoistThis drop will not reach 50 people.
Why do you guys here at massdrop not report on the most important specs?
Hz???
I can't use anything less than 120Hz.
Anything less gives me massive migraines.
Is this a 120Hz monitor?

sYnaXisNo it's not. I suggest you go for that ASUS ROG swift monitor.

sYnaXisWell, this is an IPS Monitor so it's the 60Hz standard... What you are looking for is probably the Asus Swift that'll come out in August.

SupermoistYeah I know that Massdrop is a California based company. Yes, Canada does charge import tax, but how much is what I'm worried. Is it worth it after all the costs, rather than just me getting it locally.
I highly doubt that, well that's just my intuition

sYnaXisYou probably wouldn't do well with a 4k monitor at 30hz then.

wkuoPresuming you are asking about getting it into Canada from the USA:
I did some research and calculations (since I asked earlier myself :)) and in total after shipping and exchange rate conversion the monitor + shipping alone is ~1100.00 CAD (at todays rate). That requires ~140 CAD import tax for Ontario according to Canada Revenue and Customs. The total paid is not clear on if it is supposed to include shipping. If no shipping then the import rate is "only" ~125 CAD (TV vs Computer seems to have no impact). That does not include any other charges that the carrier may apply if customs duty is not pre-cleared.
CRA has a calculator thingy here: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/dte-acl/est-cal-eng.html

sYnaXisIt will reach 50 people no problem
They report the specs that LG has..........do any sort of even the most remotely basic research on this and you'll know it's 60hz, which is just fine.
If you can't use anything less than 120hz, omg, how have you survived until this time?
LOL, 3440 x 1440 and trying to drive this at 120hz...........you got triple SLI 780ti's? You should do some research on this and it'll answer your own questions.
