I bought it for 900 +20USD Shipping off B&H not long ago. One thing to be aware of is that LG is experiencing uniformity issues with this monitor (They are on Rev. 2 at the moment). I am not sure how well their customer service interacts with Massdrop, but on my first one had poor uniformity (due to backlight bleeding). I contacted LG directly, provided proof of purchase, and they issued an advanced exchange. The second one was much better and there is a small bit of bleeding in the bottom right and bottom left corner, but I can live with it because it's wasn't the type that caused noticeable miscoloration as before and it's much less.
As for other things, the True Color Software words pretty nicely. Instead of a monitor profile, it makes the adjustments to the hardware. The software isn't as advanced, but I prefer it to the complexity of the i1 Profiler. And for everything else, Linus sums it up.
I think the PC future is when they make these Cinema format monitors with a slight curve.

NorzaLG has acknowledged the issues and pushed back upcoming shipments of the monitor likely to fix this issue. Originally this drop was supposed to ship early August, but LG pushed the ship date back.
