Iv'e heard the reason it won't ship until early September is that LG is fixing a light bleed problem. Has this been confirmed already? If so I'm sorry for re-asking.

rennsportRukian.....this will charge you in 3 days when the drop finishes, maybe extra time after that for processing, but it FOR SURE won't be charging you in September as Massdrop needs to collect the money for LG. 1st week in September the shipment will go out to Massdrop in San Fran. (Go 49ers), then it'll start arriving to people mid September.
Rennsport....LG did initially stop all shipments of the 34UM95 to "improve fabrication processes" that probably were related to initial claims of backlight bleed and bad white uniformity. Supposedly in panels made after June, most, but not all of these issues have been resolved....BUT:
1) Others are still reporting occasional problem but keep in mind that some of these people might be talking about IPS glow and not backlight bleed.
2) Also, like anything, only the problems get reported on forums. What's the ratio of happy people to unhappy people when you read forum posts about a product? 10 to 1 happy to sad? 20 to 1? Point is, very few are reporting backlight bleed issues. It's mostly people not used to IPS glow, and that's my 3rd point.
3) The IPS glow on this 21:9 shaped panel, due to it's wider field of view can exhibit more IPS glow than a standard 16:9 IPS panel and people might not be used to that. Bleed doesn't go away if you move your head, IPS glow does
4) But this is extremes in dark rooms during dark parts of a game on SOME panels. We'll be just fine. Seems most folks you talk to, no bleeding, but there is a little more ISP glow than in a usual ISP panel. Small thing to deal with for what you get.
5) Final thing that anandtech.com reported on, but what might not be obvious to our eyes is that the top left and right corners do have a lesser white intensity than the rest of the screen. Only like 10-15% less. May not be even noticable without measuring devices
We'll be just fine, but I DON'T know if the Displayport 1.2 flickering has been fixed. Happens on SOME panels on SOME AMD cards, happens less for Nvidia
