The LX has a capacity of 25 lbs, while the MX has a capacity of 30 lbs. I personally went with the MX based on rigidity and looks, but I will probably pick up two of the massdrop ergotron freedom arms for my lighter 21" monitors. While the freedom arm might work for the LG, I personally would like more than 3 lbs tolerance on such a large investment.
