Is the LG 34UM65 Black 34" the same as this model? Because Newegg has it for $580 at the moment!....(EDIT: looks like it's missing the Thunderbolt connection and is 2560x1080...still a great deal though!....)

dr150It's the same size monitor, but like you said, the resolution is different, so the pixel density is different. It's really what you value it.

dr150If you're OK with 2560x1080, the slightly-smaller Dell U2913WM is currently $499. I've been using one for almost a year and have no complaints, though I don't play games at all...

dr1502560x1080 is a crummy resolution. I hate 1080P displays.
