Wow, I just met the nicest LG rep possible - they're going to try and ship me a new one on advance, on rush order, so I can get it within the week. If they don't have it, they're going to refund it soon as they receive - emailed me labels to ship it back. Not sure how it's going for everyone else, but "CC" (not sure how she spells her name) was super helpful.

SlippingSandSounds good, but why the refund? A big part of joining this drop was being on a commercial warranty... A refund is just an easy way out for LG.

DecoyDroneIf I'm understanding the thread correctly, the refund is occurring only because there is no stock for warranty replacements. If I lose (win?) the backlight-bleed lottery, I'll just wait for warranty stock to become available and make a claim at that time. I wouldn't want a refund--there's no other place selling these monitors at this price, at this time.
(Incidentally, LG should have had a reserve of stock for warranty replacements. Even Apple, which is notoriously short of supply on release dates, reserves stock for replacements.)
