I am on the fence between purchasing an LG and the Sony unit75x900F . Is the motion blur that notable on all scenes of broadcast or just sports. Have several friends who swear by their Sony TVs. I was also told by a sales rep that the speakers on the Sony unit are better and placed accurately behind the screen.

irbgeorgeSony definitely has better speakers. But most people buying a 77 inch tv have their own speaker set up and don't need the built in tv speakers. The sony 900F usually runs around $1000 more. If you need the built in speakers this could be a better buy.

ajjohnsonsoxfanAppreciate your thoughts. I did see the Sony at BB marked down from $3,800 to $3k, now that is only for a 65" though. This is a hard decision. Sony a long time player in the electronic industry and LG just beginning to make its mark. Eeek. What to do!

irbgeorgeI assume you meant to say the A8f/Af8 not the 900f. If you aren't going to buy a soundbar or speakers I would go for the sony, but you would probably be better off buying the LG and putting the extra money towards a soundbar/subwoofer. Maybe something like samsung's N850 soundbar if music isn't a concern for you.

ManchineelYeah I am on the fence with this and the A8f/A9f the 900f is LED so I don't know why you would compare it to the C8

irbgeorgeI have the 900F LCD and the LG OLED. Each connected to a HT system so I don't use the speakers. Both are great. I like the picture a bit better on the LG, but the SONY is brighter - better in a room with more ambient light.

irbgeorgeThe 75x900f is frequently on sale for $2800. It's a different technology (LED vs. OLED) in a very different price range.
