Filters like this do NOT remove viruses (although generally virus born illness are not a problem in North America).

DetroitdaveThe reason for my initial comment is because that statement in the description is blatantly FALSE. It is a warning to people to NOT purchases this product if they want/need removal or neutralization of viruses.

bkfist Is any of this true then? If not, what do you base that on?
  • Removes 99.999% of viruses
  • Removes 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria
  • Removes 99.99% waterborne protozoa

allentThe bacterial and protozoan levels are correct. Most viruses are much smaller than bacteria or protozoa and will pass through a filter. There are a few very large viruses that can be filtered, and likely they are using those viruses for their claims.
