I’ve been very happy with this knlife. It works well and the integrated fire steel is an excellent touch. For basic backpacking/camping it now my go-to. I pref a straight edge (without serraruins)—I’m not using this for tactical purposes so I don’t need that. I do wish tonight was easier to get out of the sheath and I also would prefer additional guards keep your fingers from slipping onto the blade when your hands are wet.

It's a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, the knife is nice and sharp. The fire stick works, but it's real hard and I haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. On the other hand, the sheath is a little awkward, and my wife ended up slicing her hand open pretty well pulling it out. Still, it was certainly sharp! TL;DR Good knife, tricky fire stick, not-so-great sheath.

Just took this knife on a 4 day backpiack trip. Held its edge extremely and surprisingly well. Carved a set of chopsticks and a wooden spoon out of some seasoned maple that I ran across, and this little guy kept a near perfect edge. Started my camp fire with a spark from the knovife back and rod with relative ease (and a vaseline saked cotton ball). I'd buy it again for sure.

Great product

The knife is super sharp and easy to use. I haven't used the flint rod, but I'd imagine it'd require some practice and skill to use it successfully. It does throw good sparks though.

It is an extra to carry nothing wrong with a backup. I lost my glasses on a trip last year second day in and had to hike the next 5 days without glasses. That sucked not having a backup. It isn't like I am taking a huge weight penalty to have a second spark source.

Knife showed up. Pretty pleased with it for the price. It is more of a backup camp knife as my other one is 20 years old and about done. This will get me by for the season and I will likely hand it down to my stepson when I get a custom made camp knife done up. Shipping was good. Price was good. Box was a bit huge for the knife but no damage and well worth the price.

I love mine. People complain about high carbon steel (and people complain about maintenance of stainless too) just know how to care for it and it'll last.
