Solid cable that looks great to boot.
I replaced another pair of linsoul cables with these. The previous were a fine wire weave and lightweight and loose. These are not those. these are chunky bois. These have heft, the plug is metal and feels like a 9mm bullet casing. The color is fantastic as well. Pairs well with my Starfields. There is a grippy quality to the plastic that coats the cables, so it not silky smooth. The bead that you can slide stays in place once set due to its grippyness. As for sound quality, I cannot tell any discernible difference between these and the previous linsoul cables that I used. Cables are just pushing electrons, and the connections in the actual iems from the cables haven’t changed. purchased these if you like heft, good looks, and have a little more pocket money to spend than what is necessary for cables.

Bought the Sennheiser balanced XLR version
Just kidding, I bought the 4.4mm balanced/2-pin IEM version to make a Sennheiser XLR cable from it. Since I've deconstructed it I can offer some insight on the construction. Each channel is of course made up of a positive and negative wire, based on the pictures I assume all versions of this cable are constructed the same, and for single ended cables the grounds are soldered to the same connector ring (which means if you ever wanted to convert to balanced you could. The positive is actually very large gauge for an IEM cable, about 14ga. Its made up of a combination of copper and silver-colored wire. The negative is a small ~24ga silver bundle that is coated to isolate it, and its wrapped around the positive making the visible shift in color in the cable along with the silver positive wires. There is some some sort of fabric material inside of the positive that made it a little tricky to solder well, I'm sure there's a reason it's there and that it won't have any detrimental effect, just took a little extra time to get a good bond with the solder before it was burned off.   The connectors are impossible to get off even with vice grips, it fell apart even trying. For anyone using the cable as is this is probably a good thing, none of the connectors will get loose over time. I had to eventually cut the connector in half with a dremel. You could of course just cut the connectors off entirely and trace each wire if you're doing what I did, but it makes it more straightforward to see the original pin out and transfer that over to the new connector and you don't end up losing any cable length. The soldering on the original connectors was adequate and the wires appeared to be isolated from each other as you'd expect. The new cable looks and works great on the Sennheiser 6XX's. I'd rate it 5 stars but its expensive compared to other chifi alternatives and while I like the look of the cable, I don't personally get into caring about exotic wire materials and such. Even with such a thick gauge positive wire this cable actually appears to weigh a little less than the Linsoul Nymph cable that I also bought and converted to XLR to pair with a set of Audeze LCD-I3's. The wire is coated in a soft touch material that reminds me a bit of the stock cable on the JVC HA-FDX1's. Another reviewer mentioned it being stiff with a lot of memory, I find that it's actually very pliable, it does have a little memory though - not horrible. Overall I'd recommend both the Nymph and Euphrosyne cables to anyone that is willing to pay this kind of money for headphone/IEM cables, they are well constructed and each have a great look to them.

OP here. If I at some point made this seem like an economical option I apologize as clearly that isn't the case. I guess it was just sort of implied that if you take a ~$70+ cable and then add highish-end Furutech Sennheiser 2-pin connectors that it's not about being economical. Yes the cable I made does the same thing as a cable I could have purchased or otherwise made myself from scratch for cheaper. I mean literally the stock Sennheiser cable did the same thing this Euphrosyne cable does, I even converted mine to 4 pin XLR balanced, literally the exact same thing and cost ~$3. If you're after the budget option, just stop here. This Euphrosyne cable was just about getting the exact look I wanted with the connector I wanted and to remind people to think outside the box a bit if you're not finding exactly what you want out on the market. Specifically the dark section of wire in this cable is a pretty good match to the Drop midnight blue colorway of the 6XX's. Combined with the overall construction it gives off the OEM+ vibe I was going for. The dozens of 'cottage cable makers' are people just like me that have a decent level of knowledge of wire, connectors and soldering and such. If I didn't have a busy career I might even be one of those shops. That said, I'm aware of every cable type these shops use because I use the same stuff, and none of the options are anything even remotely like this cable from an appearance standpoint. It takes a factory to build a cable like this, it can't be done by hand without taking hundreds of labor hours. Even then good luck duplicating several key features that aren't easy to duplicate like the outer wire coating, and coating the internal negative wire at just the right thickness to shield it but not make the cable too large/heavy. These kinds of things take tooling and machinery that mom and pop shops just don't have. So while I don't personally believe cables make a huge difference in sound quality (more power to you if you do - no hate), this build can't be easily replicated with off the shelf parts as you suggest.

DoneDealDRVery cool and very well done. There is a joy in getting everything just right. Your description of your project, and the reasons why you did it, make me want to get my soldering iron out - and I like the cables just the way they are! Anyway, thanks for reminding me why I think this hobby (/money pit) is so cool. More practically, and for other readers, my experience is that I have bought both high end and "cottage cable makers" after market cables and feel that the latter are a good value and fully functional, however they may lack in esthetics (appearance, feel, etc.). And esthetics matter when you are wearing the headphones or IEMs daily, for hours at a time. So I personally spend a lot of time getting my current favorite just right (and then my interest changes and I do the same thing for a new favorite). And that's a big part of the fun.

Favorite Cable of All Time (so far)
Im here today to purchase a second cable, 2-pin, since my first purchase had MMCX. To get the bad part out of the way, there was a noticeable increase in audio quality, specifically in width of soundstage, between this cable and the pile of other cables that i use for my daily drivers. Some of those cables are 500%+ more expensive than this cable. Why is that the bad part? It makes me wonder what a $2k cable sounds like lol. The set-up im currently using for this cable is Fiio BTR5, shure se846 trishd mod, s10+ neutron The improvement was so great that i want the 2-pin cable for unique melody mests with a cayin n3pro. The cable does not experience any noticeable microphonics. The jacket of the cable is smooth and pliable, non tangling, non-grippy and amazing flexibility. The cable coloring is awesome and would look far better on Alexandra Daddario in her True Detective scene than it does on me since it matches her eyes.

Overpriced, stiff, and poor QA
Ok so the 3 star review is for purchasing this off Drop for the $70 price. The cable is available from other places with a few minutes of searching for $50. It is also very stiff which may or may not bother people. It appears that the whole cable is covered in the same memory plastic as the earhooks with the earhooks just having a second layer of it for additional rigidity. The result is a stiff cable with memory. Since it is shipped wrapped up in a round tin it retains that shape. The cable length after the split is not the same between the left and the right side. On my pair the right side is 3/16" longer. I would probably never have noticed except it is clear that split was at one time twisted just like the rest of the cable because the wire memory still wants to twist around itself and while I was trying to get the wires to relax into a neutral state I noticed that one end is longer than the other. Like I said earlier you can buy this cable from another source for less and the cable itself is totally unbranded. This is not made by Linsoul but is in fact purchased elsewhere and marked up to be resold in the west. Shipping through Drop was not any faster so even if you can live with the stiffness and poor QA I don't see any reason to pay more buying it through drop for $70 or even worse through Linsoul for $90.

RMayerI also noticed the cable looks similar to a cheaper cable. Frankly you’d be surprised how many companies just rebrand. I come from car audio background and build my own cables. I can’t stomach some of these prices for copper lol

Girthy bois
They don't look as thick in Drop's pictures as they do in person and that thickness might be a turn-off for some people who prefer more "flow-y" IEM cables. Because of the girth, they could also probably use a little bit of straightening, especially after the split leading up to the 2 IEM connectors. Wish Drop/Linsoul was more clear on whether or not the 2.5/4.4mm are balanced; I know those connectors are usually balanced but it's not great to assume.

Yeah, that's exactly how I figured it was wired on the 3.5mm termination. Thanks again!

XileTommy2.5 /4.4mm/xlr can only be configured balanced or else they can mess up you rig. So all professional wired cables will be balanced. While 3.5mmwill always be single ended unless specified as 3.5+pro or balanced . really rare but a few brands offer as an option but will go out of there way to let you know.

Awesome Cable
I’ve been on a hunt to replace the stock cable for my Campfire Audio Ara when I came across the Linsoul Euphrosyne. I was surprised that the cable was so thick. I plugged them into my Burson Playmate 2 playing Apple ACC files from my MBA. Wow. The music had a very analog sound. I tried my XD05 Plus, Audioquest Dragonfly cobalt and red. They all had a bit of harshness. A glare that made me reach for the volume. A few days later, the glare had all but disappeared. I’m not sure if the glare will ease any further, but for now it’s a lot more listenable than before. I realize this is for mobile use, but I would I would like the option to increase the length by another foot. Otherwise, this is one of the best cables I’ve tried especially at this price point

Great high quality cable
This cable is very well made and looks good too. No microphonics that I noticed. The sound quality is open and detailed but not quite as good as the Linsoul LSC08 IEM Cable That I purchased earlier, thus the 4 star rating instead of 5.

Cable looks great
Not sure what to expect other than it looks great. Did not hear any sound quality differences personally tho. Cable is a little heavy. Comes with a nice round metal casing.
