Question... if the only balanced option I have is a 4.4mm jack on my DAP, should I chose the 2.5mm or 4.4mm termination option...? I know that question might not make sense on the surface, but here’s the rest of the story... I have a couple of angled 2.5mm to 4.4mm adapters. The thing that bothers me about 4.4mm plugs is that they are bulky and stick straight up, making them less pocket friendly (and potentially subjecting them to more stress). If I use 2.5mm to 4.4mm angled the plug does not stick out nearly as much. Thoughts?

I, too, dis-like the 4.4mm jacks protruding so far out from the dap. While I do detest adding more connections in the path, I've found the angled adapter to be the best solution. I own at least 3 of the angled adapters and a couple of them cost more than some of my cables but they're worth it.
