Broke my 2.5TRRS on a $200 cable a week ago (and the socket of the DAP), will only trust 3.5Pro from now on.

MohjongThat sucks... I broke a 2.5mm balanced plug as well but in my case the cable was only about $20 so I didn't feel too bad about it. You are right in that the small plug is going to be more susceptible to breakage with sideways pressure if your DAP is in a pocket or a belt mounted holder under my big belly. If I recall I had mine plugged into my ES100 Bluetooth receiver attached to my belt when it happened.

CyberthingyES100 is best $100 ive ever spent on audio. I use the s10 w/ ldap as my source, Balanced cable w/ shure headphones. An amazon review suggested the cable clips for earphone wire, it worked ok but i swapped it out for a nite ize gear tie and used a headphone band from amazon. This keeps the ES100 out of my pocket and works great.

MohjongI recommend 2.5mm with a 4.4mm right angled adapter. That way you get the newest standard (4.4), stronger jack on the DAP and strongest connector on the cable (4.4), and no large plug sticking out straight from the DAP (right angled adapter). This also has the benefit of using the much more common 2.5mm cables everyone already has.

jongalt26I have an S10+ and the ES100. How do you set to LDAC? Doesn't seem to lock in to LDAC. Thanks

so my set-up is: s10+ - ES100 - Shure SE846 . I use neutron audio player and the ARMv8 NEON codec pack is a big help. Samsung developer settings enabled, samsung sound assistant installed.
Sammy Developer options:
AVCRP 1.6
Bluetooth Audio Code LDAC
32 bits per sample [may not be necessary]
sample rate: 96 khz [most definitely overkill]
Bluetooth Audio Bits per sample: 32
Stereo
Optimized for audio quality
Turn off A2DP hardware off load [is turned off]
Neutron Settings:
I have yet to find one that comes close to this one. Its like having an audio rack in the phone. For an app its pricey but worth every penny. Im open to suggestions so if you have another audio player thats awesome, hook me up. My favorites in the past include sonique, winamp, mx poweramp, foobar and aimp,

Sidenotes: PC i now use ADB with PEACE, finally youtube and spotify sound amazing.
For the ES 100 I replaced the gear ties with a lanyard from a mazon that has a disk to attach to phones, secured the ES100 with the balanced plug down and can use the clip on the es100 to hold headphones when not in use. Looks like i need to add That 4.4mm adapter which sounds awesome.

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?
Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
