So regarding Linsoul. I got ripped off by them on a 11/11 purchases of Tin t-4's as did many others and ask for a refund when I received less than 50% of the product I paid for over 60 days late. Attached was the reply received by e-mail in lieu of sending a printable shipping label.. I would encourage you to proceed with caution.

It should also be noted that in another transaction with Linsoul I paid for expedited shipping for an in stock product and the order was not processed for 21 days. I was assured that I would be refunded that $10 charge but never was. How you chose to spend your money is totally up to you but I just thought you should be informed about my experiences to help in you thought process.
Question... if the only balanced option I have is a 4.4mm jack on my DAP, should I chose the 2.5mm or 4.4mm termination option...? I know that question might not make sense on the surface, but here’s the rest of the story... I have a couple of angled 2.5mm to 4.4mm adapters. The thing that bothers me about 4.4mm plugs is that they are bulky and stick straight up, making them less pocket friendly (and potentially subjecting them to more stress). If I use 2.5mm to 4.4mm angled the plug does not stick out nearly as much.
Thoughts?
jsmiller58I, too, dis-like the 4.4mm jacks protruding so far out from the dap.
While I do detest adding more connections in the path, I've found the angled adapter to be the best solution.
I own at least 3 of the angled adapters and a couple of them cost more than some of my cables but they're worth it.
Yeah, I think that was an exception though because in that case the manufacturer got overwhelmed because their product was hand made and they just couldn't keep up with demand. Cables are likely on the shelf ready to ship.
JoeBiShipping through China takes forever.. it's not a warehouse thing. It's just bad logistics in China. I live in Hong Kong and it still takes forever to get stuff from China. Things from the US, Europe and the UK arrive in less than a week usually.
Idk why people even shop on drop any more? I just got a pure silver fiio cable off hifigo with like 1-2 weeks shipping for free FROM China. I don’t understand why this company can’t get their crap together and actually ship in a reasonable time. You’re willing to wait 3-4 months that maybe you might get something for 10% off and now you no longer have a warranty/no returns. Totally not worth it to me, just looks like they’re milking people at this point.
League544it's not drop they have to wait to get the product before they can ship it and generally speaking drop will offer you refunds even if they don't specifically say so but if you want a replacement you have to contact the 3rd party
nthefaceMy guess according to what is written on both store pages is the LSC09 is silver plated, while the 08 isn't. Technically speaking, silver-plated copper has better conductivity (which is really the only thing that kinda matters for IEM cables) than pure copper.
As to whether or not the difference in sound quality is even noticeable or worth the price is beyond me. Pure copper already has very high conductivity, so I don't see the point of spending more for negligible increase in conductivity when we're dealing with audio.
E.g. pure silver only has 7% more conductivity than copper, but since silver is more precious, prices for pure silver cables can go much higher. (Although through some black magic Chinese companies could somehow make 'silver' cables at a similar price range)
Tl;dr just buy the cables that suits your taste and budget but know that it's a diminishing return thing for audio quality vs price. Unless your 'single-crystal pure copper' cable isn't what it's advertised to be, you should be fine.
Update: After 2 weeks wait time, I finally received a damaged package shipped from China. Short 2 cables. I have reported to the MD support and hopefully they can help me solving the problem.
The cable I received is actually good.
I received the shipping notice and the product was shipped from China. The tracking system stated it was processed through Shenzhen on June 6, until now there is no further updated on the progress.
rlausaShipping from China is notoriously slow. It likely left the seller and will take a while to actually get out into the international shipping stream. When I lived in the US stuff from China would always take between 2 and 4 weeks. Now that I live in Hong Kong stuff from China arrives after 2-4 weeks. It has nothing to do with the shipping from China to your country and everything to do with internal inefficiency within China.
Little confused on this one. It says single silver plated copper but then say 60 strands per wire... So is this a single core wire or a stranded wire?
Would this be better than a 16 core silver plated copper wire I found on amazon for $48?
Yeah I know what that is... but that doesn't correct what the actual construction of this is in the description. They say single core, then 60 strands per wire... So is it a single core or stranded? See what I mean. Crappy description. There needs to be more detail about what is in the cable is what we're trying to say
musicmanbbFrom the specs list, they did not write single core, they wrote single CRYSTAL.
So this means all 60 strands of the copper wires are made up of a single, continuous copper crystal structure (not too sure about the silver plating if its single crystal or not), unlike "traditional" copper which is made up of many many crystal structures.
This means there is no boundary between each copper crystals that can theoretically "disturb" or "slow" the flow of electrons. Not sure if this makes an audible difference in sound though. I remember PS audio made a video on this.
That's a legitimate question that gets asked with every cable drop.
You would think that a Massdrop, being in the business of selling so many of them, would have learned to include that bit of information in the product description by now... but I've had bank tellers leave one or more zeros off my actual deposits. The mistakes that are simple become simply costly.
