Product Description
From Italian knifemakers Lion Steel, the M4 fixed blade is great for camping, hiking, bushcraft, and more. The main attraction of the knife, of course, is its blade: a 3.7-inch drop-point measuring 4 millimeters thick Read More

I bought this from another source recently and it's easily the best fixed blade I've used short of the Gough Customer Resolute Mk3. No hotspots on the handle, the G10 is flawless. Even with the rounded spine it's easy enough to spark a ferro rod. The sheath is gorgeous too, although if I was to nitpick I'd like an option for scout carry (which would be ideal because of the relatively short blade). M390 with a good heat treat is hard to best, and this seems to be well done. It came shaving sharp, and remains so even after a lot of woodwork. I could EDC this blade no problem. An added bonus, if you care about this sort of thing, it's made in the West (Italy), not some cheap Chinese ****.

Any advice on whether to go with wood or micarta? Curious what others would choose and why.

DefensYes, I see it. Italy M390 Doesn't say "Made in Italy" But Italy M390 is good enough I guess. Thanks.

I have seen some sweet drops in the past and the last one that really caught my eye was the AD-15 which I jumped on immediately because of how awesome it was. Seeing this drop has made me jump on buying this knife...but not from here. I just can't justify a $10 savings on the very slow shipping time and lack of support if something does go wrong with the product. I will definitely support drop if I see an awesome deal like I did the AD-15 but for me this drop just isn't really worth it.
Knife is cheaper for me (US location) after shipping/taxes at Collectorknives.net And in stock with a two week return grace period. Nice knife though.

Wow, now this is a Drop! I have too many knives in this class but this is too good to pass up. Nah, I cannot go for it, just too many like this. My prized Gough Resolute III, Survive! Gso 3.5, Bradford Guardian 4in m390 and Extrema Ratio Shrapnel. But damn, this knife gets rave reviews and considered a bargain at the regular selling price(not necessarily msrp). They seem to heat treat their knives quite well, the blades shape/Geo looks great, the handle looks smart with no silly finger grooves or sharp edges. The finish on the steel, the rounded spine is gorgeous, ditto the textured scales. Look how the scales meet the hardware. Italians really do have a knack for designing sexy anything. I think I am talking myself into buying this.

Got the M1 baby brother to this knife and very impressed. Pleased to add the M4. The walnut I received in the M1 is not highly figured and I expect this to be the same. If my M1 was in Santos I would have liked that. Where the purchase cost might be similar elsewhere, for us overseas folk there is a significant saving in Drop's low postage cost.
