Jumie I'm using Beyerdynamic DT880s, DT990s, Fostex TH-X00 & couple others, I mainly bought it to pair with my Fostex phones. I swapped to the G&E JAN5654 immediately but so far so good. It's got a quiet noise floor even on the high gain setting. I think for its price it sounds great especially for someone wanting to experiment with tubes adding a little warmth to the music. I've been listening to some vinyl recordings with it & its quiet pleasurable . My immediate impressions of this hybrid is its not as warm & tubey sounding as my Bravo V1 tube amp but much cleaner/clearer sounding then it. I think it best my portable FIO A3 amp as well. My Bottlehead OTL AMP or Maverick D1 SS Amp in terms of overall SQ both south better with my initial impressions. My goal is to have a good fun sounding amp that helps make music more enjoyable, engaging & perhaps more forward. I'll have to see how it reacts does once the Burson arrives to whether or not I continue to tube roll.
