Does anybody know a good reasonably priced (around the same price as this) DAC to pair with this?

Also, are the upgrade tubes worth it? If so, which is the better value in comparison to price?

I would also like some suggestions for a nice DAC combo to go with the Little Dot.
Seph, the general agreement on the forums is that there is a need for upgraded tubes, so I went with the first one.

My 61j's started hissing after 20 hours of burn-in. The one installed on the left more so than the right. Switched them and the louder hiss went to the right side--it was the cheap 61j's and not the LD. Fortunately, the ten NOS GE JAN5654W's (unmatched) that I bought off of eBay for $18 arrived the next day. The 6j1's came out and two GE's went in, and YES, it was worth the upgrade.
I looked at the Head-fi discussion link and cross referenced the rankings with Googled results--the GE seemed to fit best what I was looking for without jumping into tube rolling. Matched sets of the Mullards, Voshkods, or Tung-Sols would have ran on average $20/ea. Dropping $$ for match sets of these and a set of matched GE's would have been about $80. Committing $18 for ten unmatched GE JAN5654W's was a reasonable gamble IMHO to start off--and it looks like it's working out...

The stock 61J's are just about the worst possible Chinese, mass-produced tubes. They only exist for the sake of being "stock"/most basic/most boring/least quality; for the reviews of the stock tubes and the +$13 option: (link also attached onto Massdrop's description for this product) http://www.head-fi.org/t/563884/little-dot-tube-amps-vacuum-tube-rolling-guide I cannot find any reviews for the +$28 option, so to be safe I personally went with the 6CQ6 (+$13). Apparently these are good for "warmth and fullness" in addition to decent bass, but may lack a little in detail, and may be a bit laid-back in sound-stage (so it feels like you're sitting a few rows behind the stage).

Very good! I use Modi Multibit. But I'm not discerning enough to have any fruity description of the sound.
