I picked up the LD and have to say I am very impressed with it. One question though. I am using Sennheiser HD580 cans. Source is Pandora or Apple Music from Macbook Pro. With volume maxed on Macbook and on amp music is loud but not too loud. It seems a bit underpowered I guess, which is not what I was expecting. I haven't checked DIP switches, but default setting should yield the highest volume, I think.
Can anyone comment on sound levels with similar Senns? Thanks.

That's what I thought too when I got mine. I had to put it up to about 2 o'clock on the volume dial to get a reasonable volume. Headphones are Sennheiser 600. Unplug it, unscrew the bottom panel and change the DIP switch to the other position. The printed instructions that come with it are incorrect. Now I rarely get above 10 o'clock on the dial. Source is x-duoo x3 line out. Tube rolling is fun to consider, too.

Thanks Psychofarms. I didn't want to open it up unnecessarily, but I will definitely take a look at it tonight. I am planning to do some tube rolling. Lots to read about that.
Thanks again!

Opened up the amp today. Both DIP switches set to ON. Manual says default is both OFF. I made them OFF/ON. Very nice boost in output, and doesn't seem to hurt sound quality at all.
Thanks again for the tip.

That's a 300ohm set of can's no sub-$300 desktop amp especially the little dot's will run them at high volume or bass well. It's just not what they are made for.

I guess the term "well" is relative here. I'm sure other amps can do a better job, but I am very satisfied with this combo. Plenty of volume and plenty of bass.
