So I need some guidance, I have oppo ha2se and sennheiser hd6xx, if I get this amp, do you expect that I would hear a quality improvement (assuming I buy a separate dac with similar performance as the dac on my ha2se?) Any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Swan86I have been using a Burson Audio Conductor Virtuoso (Burr Brown PCM1793 DAC) as my headphone amp (quite high end a couple years ago). I purchased the HD6xx last year and thought I had the end game! I purchased a Little Dot MK2 to have some fun with tubes and using the DAC only output of the Burson I fired the MK2 up. UNEXPECTEDLY AWESOME are not powerful enough words for the rich full sound with a great sound stage NOT experienced with the Burson --and the STOCK tubes have had NO BURN IN! I have ordered a set of Russian driver and power tubes after reading comments other enthusiasts have made about being much better than the stock tubes -I'm anxiously awaiting those not really knowing how much better this can get. . This is probably the best bang per buck out there right now! With your HD6xx and a good DAC you may be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

Jhunte😏 end game is just a word we made up to tell ourselves it's ok to buy this one last thing 😂 thanks for your input. I get the feeling that this little amp supplies a lot of power and I think you verified that, but I just looked at the CTH amp, in comparison that one looks weak spec wise for a high impedance headphone (assuming I'm reading it right) but dang it has such positive reviews even for ppl paring it with hd6xx. My little brain is more confused and uncertain than before now haha, cant make a decision!
I'm now also eyeballing Topping D50 and CTH or this amp, sounds like a sweet combo for my needs!

Swan86The hd6xx responds great from what I hear with this amp. I went ahead and got the upgraded tubes, hope you did the same! Happy rolling!

iknowyounautDid you got your MKII ?. I just bought it with the CV4010 tubes, and i want to pair it with my HD6XX. Just wondering how does it performs with these cans.
