Why is this $110? This is a $90-100 camera, it's not March 2019 anymore.

You are wrong––it's actually advertised on the Web (by a major retail store) for $74 with a March 8 delivery.

Will you refund the poor 116 people who paid an inflated price for this? As others have noted this is selling right now in the $70 range and below. This is nothing but false advertising in make this seem like a deal when it is not.
For your assertion of "false advertising" please cite the inaccurate information posted. Just because something is cheaper elsewhere in no way makes it false advertising. Grocery store A sells apples for 99 cents, grocery store B sells apples for $1.19. If both advertise the price, with no mention of a discount from a previously listed price, there is no false advertisement. People who bought their apples at Store B are in no way entitled to a discount. I'm not saying anyone should pay this amount for this item but your assertion is absurd.

I thought the purpose/intent of Drop was to use the collective purchasing power of its membership to entice manufacturers to provide products at either a pricing advantage or performance advantage, I see neither here and: A) wonder what other products we have been "duped" ? B) wonder if I can, in clear conscience, maintain my membership ? Shame on you Drop.

wmgwizardAmazon finally got sued for price fixing as well, that's been going on for as long as I can remember. Also, download the browser extension "Honey", it shows you what the price of any item on Amazon or any other website has been for the past year or so, so you can see how often the price graph of popular items looks like a Rollercoaster so they can get more money for items during "peak purchasing times". (If the price of an item on Amazon drops $50 the day after you bought or very soon after you bought it "on sale with prime" then just email Amazon and they will put that $50 back in your bank account.) https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/25/dc-attorney-general-sues-amazon-on-antitrust-grounds-alleges-it-illegally-raises-prices.html Logitech has also been shady as fuck ever since they knew hundreds of millions of people were going to need webcams for their work from home Zoom calls, and marked up the prices for $19 webcams up to $75 and $45 webcams (like the c922) up to $100-150, which then resellers sold for $200-250 on ebay. So when people see a "deal!" like this. (Insert Sarcasm) because they are used to seeing this model for over $200 as its probably the most common base model for twitch streamers and just people in general who use Webcams. Logitech use the "X" as an excuse to mark it up because it comes with a free 2-3 month of X-split software....and then they use the "Pro" version as an excuse to mark it up even higher because it includes a $9 tripod. (Literally is $9 on Logitechs website) So honestly at this point none of these company's are innocent, but also no company or person who resells them is guilty since between PCBS (circuit boards), Chips/processors, and supply chain BS everyone....especially (COUGH GAS PRICES COUGH) can get away with extremely inflated prices. My rant is over.

PhlookeI agree with all of your points, but it doesnt address the critical concerns here: Is Drop doing right by its loyal and supportive membership ? Is Drop living up to it's mission statement: to use the power of the collective as a bargaining tool ?

wmgwizardI totally agree with you! Like you I do remember drop when they were first sponsoring videos and that was their mission statement was the collective power of purchasing. If their mission statement has changed then they owe it to customers and board members to publicly acknowledge and announce that

Why is this $95 when it's $85 from Logitech's website?

I think Drop was wrong by overinflating the price of the Logitech C922. When you can right now buy the Elgato Facecam for $139 or the Avermedia PW513 (4K) for $148 or the Logitech Brio 4K for $129, yes that is right you can buy the Logitech flagship 4k webcam for $19 more and have them delivered in 3 days from Amazon than drop is charging for this webcam. And I miss the good old days of Drop when you hoped enough members would sign up for a buy-in hoping you could get a reduced price, but nowadays it seems Drop is nothing more than a drop shipping company. I guess their name Drop has a new meaning now...
