Again, in what world this thing costs $1195 ? (in wet dreams of marketing dpt of the parent company) Amazon has it for $124 https://www.amazon.com/Lucien-Piccard-Babylon-Automatic-Stainless/dp/B01AUSAL14 Can Drop post actual price of other retailers instead of bogus MSRP from the vendor, so you could see ACTUAL price difference, and not this nonsense. The movement may be JHL06 (LB06) from a shanghai factory. It's a variant of Seagull movement. Watches with this movement typically go for under 100 USD

unixvovaI completely agree. To me this is false advertising to list these ridiculous MSRP that NOBODY pays. I used to shop on this site relatively confident I was getting a good deal, not so much now.

unixvovaEver since the name change in April, I feel like Drop has gone downhill. These forums seem to go unheard by anyone in the company, and the lead times for item shipments have become staggeringly long. I agree that realistic prices would make so much more sense, but I don’t expect anyone at Drop to read these and care enough to implement change.

unixvovaThanks for pointing this out. I've seen a few of these with Drop seemingly lying to their customers.

WeirdBeardSo very true. I wonder how many 100's of thousands it cost to get the domain name... That's where all of the money that we've spent likely went.

Fearlessleaderprobably nothing notable. The brand, I believe, went under a long time ago, presumably during or soon after the quartz crisis.

CraigLewisDrop should be doing at least minimal due diligence. They may not be lying outright but certainly have some responsibility to their customers, if they want to keep them.

unixvovaI too am tired of these listed MSRP that NOBODY pays. Using MSRP to show savings is outright lie.
