Normally when we go camping we use a gas lantern, however last time we had to juggle canisters between the heater and lantern. In comes the Nova light. I saw it when it was originally being used for Haiti, however didn't have my camping collection started then. The light output is pretty good, maybe not quite as high as gas, but turbo puts out plenty for a decent area and I got 4 to rotate out or use additional ones. Overall a great addition to your kit and I really like the story behind the product

Great, works perfectly.
Actually really like these, they are a nice, warm color and the candle flicker function is a great addition as well! The added ability to charge them through USB is also a nice function.

We've tried other solar lights in the past, but these are better - they last longer and have more settings without being more expensive. The ability to charge them via micro-USB places them far above any competitors.

The lights are great. The battery life has been very good this camping season. I leave them out here and there and they work the entire time I need them camping. I like that they have an indicator letting you know that the light is charging.
The colored one is on par with my Luci light, if not a little brighter.
The larger brighter light, is such a nice thing the have while camping. It works as a spot light and as a lantern so well.

One of my lights has a hole in it but otherwise works I guess, I contacted Massdrop support and was helped with the issue. My other light works perfectly and really lights up everything nicely, on the brightest setting its extremely bright and is almost brighter than the lights in my bedroom. The lower 2 settings are great for comfort backpacking and car camping trips. Overall I'm happy with the lights besides the hiccup with one not holding air.

The lights work really well. They nicely illuminate a dark space and the batteries last a long time. I tested them out one night and left a fully charged one on all night at max light, and the charge lasted probably 6 hours. They feel very durable and I have no paranoia that they will break or tear as long as you're not too rough with them. The reason why I marked them as 4/5 stars is because I left the depleted luminAID lantern out in direct sunlight all day, and it only charged up to half full and I think 10 hours of direct sunlight charging them should charge them up more than that.

Product is GREAT. I did have some problems...1. pinholes develop and the lantern will not hold air. 2. Two lanterns developed solar panel/charging problems (would not charge/hold charge). LuminAid customer service is the Best as they replaced all inoperable lanterns in a timely manner.

These aren't ultralight, but they are great to have around for home and travel. I keep one on a windowsill in the house and one in the back of my car, knowing that they're always charged by the solar panel is nice peace of mind. Awesome for car camping, and I even bring one when I stay in an airbnb. They're nicer than a flashlight for a lot of things because the light is soft and diffused. The little micro-usb port on one of mine broke, not a huge deal cause I don't use the port for charging much, but note that it's kinda fragile inside its little protector.

We also recently updated our USB port to address this issue and it is now much more reinforced!
