Luminox is a fan favorite for a couple reasons: For one, the company developed the first Navy SEAL watch series in 1993; for another, the self-powered illumination system employed in its watches will last up to 25 years with no need for exterior power. The Luminox EVO means business. Backed by a 200-meter water resistance rating, it features a stainless steel case and sapphire crystal to prevent scratching. To track elapsed time, you can use the unidirectional rotating bezel, which is notched throughout for a solid hold, even with gloves. In lieu of a marker at 3 o’clock, the EVO opts for a date window. Also notable are the 24-hour markers if you prefer military time. Available in two styles, the watch is brushed throughout for a look that works at a dinner party or on the trail.
