Was in George Town Bahamas anchored at Chat N Chill. George Town is about 1 mile across the water. I lit up the shore and the buildings there. This light is heavy and throws a mile and more in clear conditions!

Try and imagine how big it is. It's at least 1.5-2x larger in person. That said, if you want to impress with one of the brightest lights ever, you can't go wrong here. Great driver software too.

I've got one too, used to amaze friends. Haven't recharged the batteries yet. Amazing thrower, tiny LED with huge reflector, the reflector to LED size gives a super tight spot that really throws, extremely little spill (no flood).

Neat, but probably no better than my convoy L6 w/smo reflector for literally 1/4 the price.

Well, let’s not forget that these lights are intended for folks who like throw monsters. From that perspective, spending three times the money for ten times the lux isn’t a bad deal.

Remove “flood” from the description Massdrop. I was on the original BLF construction forum from nearly the beginning. There is virtually no spill. I own.
This has a very limited usefulness in your collection and is honestly more of a conversation piece. I own a lot of flashlights each in use. This rarely serves a purpose. And as large as you think it is.....it’s 50% larger in the hand. One use....absolutely blinding an intruder So I use it for bumps in the night. And searching for deer across our pond. At 1 meter the candela is more than the sun. It will do permanent damage. This is NOT a toy and should be locked up away from children. I’ve been in communicatlion with the country’s top eye researcher. This is potentially blindness causing.
NOT lumens. But candela. So Photons per square centimeter.

I have one too, it's an awesome thrower, HUGE size. I also have the updated BLF GT, version 2, with the much more powerful XHP 70.2 emitter on order, natural white. You can also get a zip case, lense protector, strap...

"It’s also built with enhanced cooling fins to keep temperatures down. "
The cooling fins look pretty ordinary to me. In what way were they enhanced?

Exactly this is a bullshit feature. Whomever wrote this up has zero clues. Just market babble. Inherently dishonest.

So batteries cost from $40 to $70 depending on where and what you buy correct? How's the heat after being on for 10 to 15 mins? Thanks, theo!

This thing runs cool. It won't have any heating issues. It's only 2000 lumen.
